Mollie Marriott – ‘Transformer’ [Official Video]

Starring actors Danny Dyer and Scott Innes, this is the video for the excellent new single ‘Transformer’ from Mollie Marriott.

An epic ballad lent weight by a soulful vocal, this is a BIG song with really top production behind it. The chorus grows really well out of the verses, giving it a real sense of dynamics from one to the other. Co-written with Judie Tzuke, it’s something of an epic – helped along by the narrative of the video too.

NuBorg hits the ground running in 2015: New album and London gig

Following a busy year of releasing monthly album tracks as singles, NuBorg – our favourite ambient pop Norwegian singer songwriter – has started 2015 with something of a bang.

Not only are all her singles from last year being released in the form of an excellent collective album, but she’s heading to London this week to play live on stage with her band for the first time in the UK to celebrate the release!

If you haven’t heard of NuBorg before now, her style is encapsulated nicely by the video above – pop music for the contemplative, with some striking flourishes and lovely lyrics too. Hopefully you’ll love it as much as we do, and if you do get along to The Islington in London this Thursday (22nd) and see her live for only a fiver. If you can’t make it, get the album on iTunes – you won’t regret it.
